HCI Data and Reporting Specialist

Summary
Oversee the entry and management of data and serve as the subject-matter expert for the CitySpan data tracking system. Manage the administration of HCI-supported evaluations. Work with the Executive Director or grant manager to prepare data for grant reports. Provide administrative support to HCI-supported programs.
Tasks
- Coordinate the entry of data from HCI staff and partners in Faribault and Northfield into CitySpan
- Train site staff on data entry and activity set-up
- Consult with Northfield and Faribault Public Schools’ district staff to gather student data
- Check source data to verify completeness and accuracy
- Create and run reports for HCI-supported programs in Faribault and Northfield
- Create charts or graphs that describe and interpret findings
- Participate in the publication of data or information in grant reports
- Assist CitySpan users with questions and issues
- Assist with pre- and post-surveys as requested by programs
- Communicate with CitySpan customer support representative for customization and troubleshooting as needed
- Coordinate the timing and location of the Survey of Academic and Youth Outcomes (SAYO) and other HCI-supported evaluations with site leads in Faribault and Northfield
- Administer evaluations to appropriate students/grade levels associated with HCI-supported programs, including Greenvale Park Community School, Northfield Middle School Youth Center, Summer PLUS, Summer BLAST, Jefferson Community School, Faribault Middle School Community School
- Provide administrative support to HCI-supported programs and general office assistance
Required qualities
- Highly organized with superior attention to detail
- Eagerness to know and adhere to data privacy laws and standards and maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word) and Google Suite
- Three years related work experience in data entry and report management
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
- Ability to maintain positive, productive work relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
- Capable of producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule to accommodate busy reporting seasons
- Ability to travel throughout Rice County
- Willingness to maintain the standards, carry out the purpose and adhere to the policies of HCI
Preferred qualities
- Experience with CitySpan data system
- Familiarity with HCI and its programs
- Two-year associate degree in a related field
Hours of work
30-40 hours per week
