Local youth spent after school time this week crafting colorful cards with messages for Northfield juniors and seniors that will attend the annual Prom in April. The student artists, in grades K-8, attend the Kid Ventures and PLUS after school programs through the Northfield School District and the Northfield School District Community Services Division.

Ruth was nominated based on her leadership abilities and the role she played in organizing community discussions and meetings on heroin and chemical abuse.
