Skateboard Coalition donates boards to Christmas Sharing

Members of the Northfield Skateboard Coalition donated 16 brand new skateboards to the United Christmas Sharing program, run by the Northfield Community Action Center.  The Christmas Sharing program provides holiday gifts to local youth from families who are struggling financially.

Young adult 12-step group changes location, increases meeting dates

TORCH project featured in local media

HCI is proud to be a partner in the Tackling Obstacles and Raising College Hopes (TORCH) graduation initiative.  Started in 2004, TORCH works to help increase the graduation and post-secondary attendance rates of Northfield’s Latino and low-income students, as well as young people who would be first generation college students.

Open house for skate plaza set for Tuesday

The City of Northfield will host an open house on Tuesday evening (December 9) to solicit public input about the design of Ames Park, the selected location for the new skate plaza.  The open house will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Northfield High School lower cafeteria.
