Many thanks to everyone who came to the Skateboard Coalition’s pancake breakfast Sunday morning at Applebee’s. The event raised more than $450 to support a skateboard plaza in Northfield.
Despite some delays in moving forward with the location and construction, the turnout on Sunday indicated yet again the strong community support for giving local youth a place to skate. It also served as a great reminder of the incredible work that these young people have put forward over the past three years to make this park a reality!
Many thanks to Applebee’s for hosting the breakfast and to Sue (aka “Skater Mom”) for her work in helping to arrange the breakfast logistics.
