In spring 2010, the Mayor’s Task Force on Youth Alcohol & Drug Use launched a parent education and support campaign. Called “Talk. Listen. Connect. (TLC),” it encourages parents to engage in conversations with their teens about important topics and to actively seek out and connect with the parents of their child’s friends.
As one component of the project, the TLC campaign will include a series of postcards on parenting topics. Recent postcards have focused on (see postcards below):
- Importance of Parents Talking with their Teens about Drug and Alcohol Use
- Summer Parenting Tips
- Setting Curfews
- Prescription Drug Abuse among Teens
