The Community Action Center food shelf, open three days a week, has nutritious food for families on a monthly basis and can also respond to an emergency. The Clothes Closet is open to the public with no income guidelines. CAC staff is always available to determine family needs and respond with appropriate resources. The Community Action Center provides scholarships for activities, such as soccer, swimming, gymnastics, hockey and others, for income eligible families. Scholarships are also available for residential and day camps. Operation Backpack provides class specific school supplies to CAC registered families. Holiday time is a time of celebration with Christmas Sharing that provides gifts to registered CAC families with each child receiving gifts.

Hours: Monday Wednesday Fri 9 am – 5 pm, Thursday 9 am – 7 pm, Preferably by appointment

Fees: None for most services; they may be a co-pay for activities Eligibility Information: Participants need to fall under the low income guidelines. Food stamp recipiants, Child is on free and reduced lunch program, WIC, etc. Capacity to Accommodate Clients with Limited Financial Resources: CAC works with clients whose income is limited; services are based on 200% of poverty Capacity to Accommodate Clients who Speak Languages other than English: Spanish speaking staff can also interpret and translate Services Offered: Home Visits   Referrals   Walk-in Services
