Girl Scouts positively impacts girls by:

  • Fostering healthy behaviors and practical life skills
  • Offering girl-led activities in a girl-only environment
  • Providing girls a physically and emotionally safe space to find their voices and values
  • Expanding cultural awareness, math, and science skills
  • Connecting them with other girls, young women, and adults to explore issues that are important to them
  • Developing leadership qualities and a sense of empowerment

As a Girl Scout, you can:

  • Earn badges
  • Volunteer in your community
  • Go to camp and experience horseback riding, arts, and sports
  • Take field trips to museums, festivals, and theaters
  • Learn outdoors through nature activities and wilderness trips
  • Learn real-life business skills through the Cookie Program Activity

The Girl Scout experience is girl-driven, which means it reflects the ever-changing needs and interests of participating girls. Cookies and camp are just two of the hundreds of programs and activities that help young women develop qualities like confidence, determination, and leadership.
