ECFE classes provide opportunities for parents and children to attend school together.  Classes start with planned activities, which parents and children do together.  A circle time follows.  After circle, children stay in the classroom with an Early Childhood Teacher for snack, stories, songs and center play.  Parents meet with other parents and a Parent Educator in a separate room, to discuss topics related to parenting, families with child development.  Infant and Toddler classes have parent discussion but remain with their children.  Sibling Care is available for most ECFE classes.

Communities Served:  Lonsdale and Montgomery area

Age Range of Clients Served:  0-2, 3-5

Hours:  Classes last from 1 to 1.5 hours.  Class times vary but are held Monday-Friday during the school year.  Most classes are offered morings and evenings.

Fees:  Range from $0 – $48, dependent on the class and family income.

Eligibility Information:  ECFE is open to ALL families with children birth – 5.

Capacity to Accommodate Clients with Limited Financial Resources:  ECFE class fees are on a sliding fee schedule based on family income.  No one will be denied the oppportunity to participate due to inability to pay.  Fees can be waived for families experiencing financial difficulty.

Capacity to Accommodate Clients who Speak Languages other than English: Capacity is limited – Interpreter assistance is available to help famililes register for classes.  Assistance is not available during class.
